Rep. Gina Walsh, represents the people living in District 69, within North St. Louis County in the Missouri House of Representatives.  She was elected to the House in November, 2002.  Being re-elected four times, most recently in 2008 with over 92% of the voters’ support, Rep. Walsh has always stood up for hardworking people who are trying to build a better life for their families.

Representative Walsh serves on the Retirement; Utilities; Special Standing Committee on Workforce Development and Workplace Safety; State Parks and Waterways; the Interim Committee on Autism Spectrum Disorders Committee and has served as Democratic Caucus Vice-Chair.

Significant legislative accomplishments for Rep. Walsh include $18 million for renovations and new construction at the Bellefontaine Habilitation Center. Rep. Walsh succeeded in securing $14 million in new state aid for the Riverview Gardens School District. 

Rep. Walsh is a 1975 graduate of Rosary High School. She is also a graduate of the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers Apprenticeship School.

She is an active member of the Holy Name of Jesus parish in Bellefontaine Neighbors.

In addition to her legislative duties, Rep. Walsh is an active member of Asbestos Workers Local #1.  She has 30 years of experience in the trade currently employed with Bi-State Insulation.  She served on the board of the Riverview Fire Protection District for nine years as director; serving five years as chairperson.

Rep. Walsh is a member of the Missouri Tourism Commission, North County Labor Legislative Club, St. Ferdinand and Spanish Lake Democratic Clubs and MOWITS (Missouri Women in the Trades).

She and her late husband Jim, have three children: Michaela, Sarah and Kathleen.
